This research project explores shared memories of places briefly visited within Victoria.

Memories are gathered, interpreted, constructed and compiled, resulting in a collection of hand-made objects associated with places in-between.

The objects will be categorised accordingly, depending on various factors such as geographical location and then temporarily exhibited in the region of their initial origin.

Drawing on souvenir culture, the work seeks to establish narrative within the tangible- a contrast from many mass-produced souvenirs of today which often lend a pre-determined or assumed experience of place.

Locals and visitors of the travelling museum will be able to make connections between their own perceptions and memories of place.

The nature and process of this investigation stems from the haze that lingers over memory and how memories can be sustained through every day things associated with time and place.
